Along The Way is a strengths-based organization which means we are committed to leveraging your unique talents and interests (your strengths) and working together to find places where your strengths and learning goals can meet the needs of the organization. What this means for you is that your internship experience, including what you learn will be partly up to you! As a grassroots organization with a small team, you will have the opportunity to get real-world experience in the following areas: social media, marketing, grant writing, fundraising, program evaluation, & so much more!

Internship Curriculum

Want to know what an internship at Along the Way will look like? Download our curriculum here. The curriculum topics will be the same for all levels of internships (high school, bachelors, masters). The depth of topics being explored and corresponding tasks will be adjusted based on the level of internship.

College Credit

We have established partnerships with the following educational institutions- Marywood School of Social Work, LaSalle School of Social Work, and Mercy Career & Technical. Don’t see your school listed? No problem! Along The Way is committed to providing opportunities for learning and leadership for tomorrow’s leaders. Interns can request for us to contact their school on the volunteer application or do an internship to advance their own learning apart from school credit. Apply today!
